  • What is Lights On Kansas City?
    Lights On Kansas City is Kansas City's premier lighting, grip and camera rental establishment for both Missouri and Kansas.
  • Where is Lights On Kansas City?
    1720 Merriam Lane, Kansas City, KS 66106 Our office hours are: 10:00am - 2:00pm (CST) Monday-Saturday
  • How long is a week's rental at Lights On Kansas City?
    Here at Lights On Kansas City our equipment rental has a three day week.
  • Can I reserve equipment ahead of time?
    Yes! We encourage reservations. All we need is a credit card to put on file in order to hold the equipment for you. For first time renters we will need a valid government issued I.D. along with a valid Credit/Debit Card to complete the transaction.
  • Do I need a Certificate of Insurance (COI) to rent from Lights On Kansas City?
    Though encouraged, you do not need a COI to rent from us. If no COI is available we add on an additional 10% of your total for a Damage Waiver. Be sure to check out our Rental Resources pages for an example of a COI along with other helpful forms.
  • Do you offer student discounts?
    Yes! We want to be as supportive as we can to student filmmakers. That's why we here at Lights On Kansas City offer great deals to anyone enrolled in a film class or program. We encourages students to come through for their school sanctioned projects. With proper varification from your school or professor and a student I.D. we give at least a 50% discount to highschool/college students who are involved in a film production. If you're a student and you're working on a personal project we will offer at least a 15% discount, current school I.D. is needed as well. Rental items are subject to availability and not all items will qualify for the discounts. We reserve the right to modify or change this deal at any time. Student discounts are for projects related to film/video production education and are not acceptable with For Profit productions.   • Do you deliever or ship gear?
    Yes! If you need gear delievered or shipped we can assist you with an extra charge. Rates depend on times, distance, and amount of gear on the order. Give us a call to find out more details!
  • Do you charge late fees?
    Typically we try to keep an open communication with our clients in order to avoid late fees. Though, we will charge a half day or day rate for equipment that is returned late.
